Ro-Flo's pass through lubrication and quality components have made it the industry standard for difficult to manage, corrosive industrial process gas streams. Typically, Heavy Duty Engine Oil of proper viscosity is all that is required as a lubricant. Injecting the correct amount of the recommended lube has proven to be the key to successful operation resulting in excellent corrosion resistance, blade and bearing life. Ro-Flo's lube system does not require expensive "compressor" oils. The lube oil that is injected into the compressor is typically coalesced and removed from the process downstream.
Ro-Flo's pass through lube system has successfully handled gas streams containing butanes, propanes, butadienes and toluenes. The optional John Crane double bellows seal, with positive pressurization, is often chosen as an extra measure of protection when handling difficult streams.
Check the list below. If you have a gas worse than these existing applications, Ro-Flo's pass through lube system can handle it:
Butadiene - Propylene - Propylene Oxide - Monomer Recovery - Hydrogen Recovery - Tire Gasification - H2S - Cyclohexane
Carbon Dioxide - Acid Gas - Coke Oven Gas - Benzene - Toluene - Acetone - Rail Car Gas - Dimethyl Ether - Ethylenetrioxide
Carbon Monoxide - Heavy Hydrocarbons - Water Saturated Streams - Digester Gas for Re-injection or Methane Recovery
Ro-Flo Industrial Process Gas Executive SummaryRo-Flo rotary sliding vane compressors are a proven solution for hundreds of nasty gas streams. However, when called on to perform in a hydrogen chloride (HCL) environment, Ro-Flo engineers recommended other technology specific to HCL - in essence saying “Don’t Buy Ro-Flo”. The customer insisted and this led to interesting results outlined in the following case study.
